beneficial ownership/interest (syn.: beneficial ownership, beneficial interest) (Mokėjimo ir atsiskaitymo sistemos) - the entitlement to receive some or all of the benefits of ownership of a security or other financial instrument (eg income, voting rights, power to transfer). Beneficial ownership is usually distinguished from "legal ownership" of a security or financial instrument. See also legal ownership, beneficial owner.
